A hair transplant in Turkey typically costs between $1,500 and $5,500 (€1,300 to €4,800) in 2026, usually as a fixed, all-inclusive package that already covers the hotel, transfers, medication and aftercare. The same procedure costs $10,000 to $20,000 in the US and £10,000 to £15,000 in the UK, where clinics charge per graft rather than quoting a fixed price.
At the premium end of the market, accredited, doctor-led clinics typically charge between $3,000 and $7,000 (about €2,600 to €6,100), with prices rising as a senior surgeon personally takes on more of the planning, hairline design and channel opening.
At Smile Hair Clinic, the difference between our packages reflects exactly that level of doctor involvement, and each of our doctors accepts a maximum of two patients a day. Grafts, techniques and aftercare are never sold as extras, and every package includes a full surgical team, Sapphire FUE and a one-year aftercare plan.
A hair transplant price quote from a clinic in Turkey differs from one you would receive from a clinic in the United Kingdom or the United States. Most clinics in the UK and the US charge per graft, making the cost of the hair transplant service significantly higher than in Turkey. In Turkey, accredited clinics like Smile Hair Clinic offer a fixed package price that covers the procedure itself and all associated services.
How Much Does a Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey?
A hair transplant in Turkey costs roughly $1,500 to $5,500 across the wider market in 2026, which is about €1,300 to €4,800, while accredited, doctor-led clinics typically start from around $3,000 (about €2,600). At Smile Hair Clinic the price sits between €2,390 and €5,790 and is fixed before you travel, with hotel nights, private transfers, medication, pre-op blood work and a full year of follow-up already included. Several things move a quote up or down within that band, and graft count is only one of them.
What Changes the Price?
Quotes within the $1,500 to $5,500 range differ for a handful of clear reasons, and the number of grafts is only one of them.
| Factor | Effect on the Price |
|---|---|
| Doctor involvement | The largest single factor. Packages at the very bottom of the market, roughly $1,500 to $2,500, often rely on technicians for most of the surgery. Accredited, doctor-led clinics generally start around $3,000 and rise toward the top of the range as senior doctors take on more of the planning, hairline design and channel opening |
| Clinic accreditation | Clinics with independent accreditation, such as JCI-accredited hospitals or TEMOS-accredited clinics, charge more than unaccredited boutique clinics because audited safety and hygiene standards cost more to maintain |
| Technique | Small. Manual FUE and Sapphire FUE sit close together, while DHI costs slightly more because of the Choi implanter pens it requires |
| Unshaven and very large sessions | Unshaven or Long FUE procedures and sessions above 5,000 grafts sit at the higher end, because they take considerably longer |
| Graft count | Large at clinics that charge per graft, none at fixed-package clinics. Per-graft rates run from about $0.80 to $2.00, with small sessions at the top of that band |
| City | Modest. Istanbul carries a small premium over Antalya, Izmir or Ankara, reflecting its concentration of accredited, doctor-led clinics |
Technique matters less than the marketing around it suggests. FUT, the older strip method, has largely been retired in favour of follicular unit extraction, and among the current techniques the difference in outcome comes down to how carefully grafts are handled between extraction and implantation rather than which tool opened the channel.
Graft count is where the two pricing models diverge sharply. A clinic billing per graft has a financial reason to quote a higher number, and the patient carries that cost. A fixed package removes the incentive entirely, since your doctor sets the number your donor area can safely supply and the price does not follow it.
Smile Hair Clinic sits at the accredited, doctor-led end of the market in Istanbul. Our Gold package starts at €2,390 and Diamond reaches €5,790, and the difference between them is which stages our senior doctors carry out personally, not the graft count, the technique or the hotel. The three packages below set that out stage by stage.

What Does a Hair Transplant Turkey Package (All-Inclusive) Include?
An all-inclusive package in Turkey covers the procedure and almost everything around it, so the price agreed before you travel is the price you pay. Most packages at accredited clinics include the following.
| Included Item | What it Usually Covers? |
|---|---|
| The procedure | The full surgical team, local anaesthesia and all the grafts your donor area can safely supply |
| Pre-op tests | Blood tests and a medical assessment on the day of consultation |
| Accommodation | Two to three nights in a 4-star or 5-star hotel |
| Transfers | VIP transfers between the airport, hotel and clinic |
| Medication and aftercare products | Painkillers, antibiotics, special shampoo and lotion, and often a PRP session |
| Patient coordinator | A dedicated coordinator or interpreter throughout your stay |
| Follow-up | The first wash at the clinic and online check-ins, often for a full year |
How Much Do Hair Transplant Packages in Turkey Cost?
Hair transplant package prices in Türkiye generally range from $1,500 to $5,500 (approximately €1,300 – €4,800), and premium packages can reach about $7,000, with clinics often offering multiple package options. While hotel accommodations and additional services may vary between tiers, the fundamental difference lies in the extent to which the procedure is performed personally by the doctor.
| Package tier | Typical price | Technique | Hotel | Who performs the key steps | Aftercare |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $1,500 – $2,500 (about €1,300 – €2,150) | Classic FUE or standard Sapphire FUE | 3-star or 4-star, 2 nights | Mostly technicians, with a doctor supervising | Medication and the first wash |
| Standard | $2,500 – $4,500 (about €2,150 – €3,900) | Sapphire FUE or DHI | 4-star or 5-star, 2 to 3 nights | A doctor plans the case and designs the hairline | PRP session and online follow-up for up to a year |
| Premium or VIP | $4,500 – $7,000 (about €3,900 – €6,100) | DHI, Sapphire FUE or unshaven techniques | 5-star, 3 nights | A senior doctor performs the planning, hairline design and channel opening | Extra treatments such as exosome therapy, an aftercare kit and a full year of follow-up |
Smile Hair Clinic’s packages follow the same logic. Gold (€2,390) and Platinum (€3,290) sit in the standard tier, and Diamond (€5,790) is our premium tier, performed exclusively by our founding doctors or our head doctor. Graft count never changes the price at any tier, because your doctor sets the number your donor area can safely supply.

What patients are investing in is not more grafts. They are investing in the judgement of an experienced doctor and the consistency of a surgical team that has worked together for years. Every package follows the same clinical standards and safety protocols. The difference lies in the level of physician involvement throughout the planning and key surgical stages.
Are There Any Hidden Fees for Hair Transplant in Turkey?
Not at accredited, reputable clinics, but hidden or unclear fees remain one of the most common complaints among patients who chose a clinic based on the lowest headline price alone. A written, fixed-price quote should cover the surgeon and medical team, anesthesia, hospital or clinic use, medications, and post-operative care, so patients know the full cost before they travel. Turkey’s health tourism sector is regulated by the Ministry of Health, and clinics working with international patients are expected to provide transparent, written pricing rather than verbal estimates that can shift after arrival.
Our Approach
At Smile Hair Clinic, this is why our Gold, Platinum, and Diamond prices are quoted in writing before you book your flight and don’t change once you arrive. PRP, blood tests, medications, hotel accommodation, VIP transfers, and one year of follow-up are included in every package regardless of tier. The only costs outside the package are your flight and anything unrelated to the hair transplant itself, such as extending your stay for tourism.
Why Doctor Involvement Defines the Price?

This is actually one of the topics that most people do not talk about. Each of our doctors intentionally accepts a maximum of two patients a day. This is a deliberate clinical decision, not a capacity problem. It allows them to dedicate significantly more time to consultation, facial analysis, hairline design, surgical planning, and the doctor-led stages that determine the final outcome.
While many clinics optimise for volume, we optimise for attention. That choice has a direct effect on pricing. A doctor who performs two procedures a day instead of eight can give each patient four times the planning and execution time. And that time is the scarcest resource in hair transplantation.
This is why the premium in our higher packages is not for a different technique, extra grafts, or marketing add-ons. It reflects access to highly experienced doctors whose surgical capacity is intentionally limited. A premium patient is not buying a five-star hotel night, they are buying the focused time of a doctor who has performed thousands of procedures.
Why Are Hair Transplants So Affordable in Turkey?
A hair transplant in Turkey usually costs a fraction of the same procedure in the United States or Western Europe, and no single factor explains the gap. The exchange rate matters most, but lower running costs, deliberate government policy and the package model each account for part of the difference. None of them says anything about the quality of an individual clinic, which is why the last tab looks at where a low price stops being good value.
| Factor | Why It Lowers the Price | Key Figure |
|---|---|---|
| Exchange rate | Clinics pay their costs in lira while patients pay in euros, dollars or pounds | The annual average rose from about 8.9 lira per US dollar in 2021 to 48 in 2026 |
| Running costs | Rent, utilities and staff salaries are structurally lower in Istanbul | Living costs of £6,800 a month in London equal around £2,000 in Istanbul |
| Government policy | Treatment of non-resident foreign patients is exempt from VAT, and health tourism earnings qualify for a 50% corporate tax deduction | In force since June 2018, for Ministry of Health authorised providers only |
| Package model | Hotels and transfers are arranged through infrastructure built for medical tourism | Hotel, transfers, medication and follow-up included in one fixed price |
| What these factors do not explain | A quote far below every other clinic | Check authorisation, doctor involvement and a written quote before booking |
How Do Exchange Rates Affect Hair Transplant Costs in Turkey?
Turkish clinics pay most of their running costs in lira, while international patients pay in euros, dollars or pounds, and the lira has kept weakening through 2026. $1 bought about 43 lira at the start of the year and around 48 by September, which helps keep hair transplant prices stable rather than pushing them up.
Why Does It Cost Less to Run a Clinic in Istanbul?
Beyond the currency itself, the everyday cost of running a clinic is structurally lower. A standard of living that costs around £6,800 a month in London costs roughly £2,000 in Istanbul once rent is included, and rents in the city are about two thirds lower than in major US cities such as Los Angeles. Premises, utilities and salaries for nurses, technicians and patient coordinators all follow the same pattern, so a clinic can staff a full surgical team for every procedure without the payroll and property costs that shape prices in London, New York or Munich.
How Does Government Policy Support Health Tourism?
Turkey treats health tourism as a service export and supports it through the tax system. Since June 2018, Article 13/l of the Turkish VAT Law has exempted diagnosis and treatment services provided to non-resident foreign patients from VAT, as long as the provider is authorised by the Ministry of Health. Earnings from health tourism can also qualify for a 50 percent deduction from corporate income tax. Both measures depend on the clinic holding the correct Ministry of Health authorisation, which makes that authorisation one of the first things worth checking before booking.
Why Does an All-Inclusive Package Cost Less Than Booking Everything Separately?
Istanbul’s hotel networks, airport transfers and international patient coordination were built for medical tourism long before hair transplants reached their current scale. Year-round agreements with hotels and transfer companies cost clinics far less than the same services would cost an individual traveller, which is how a package can include hotel nights, transfers, medication and a year of follow-up for a price that would barely cover the surgery alone in most Western countries.
When Does a Low Price Become a Warning Sign?
A country-wide cost advantage explains why prices in Turkey can be low. It does not explain why one clinic quotes far below all the others. When a price sits well under the rest of the market, the saving usually comes from somewhere specific, such as technicians carrying out stages that should be performed by a doctor, a different surgeon operating on the day than the one you met at consultation, or costs that only appear after you arrive.
A quote well below the typical range on this page deserves three questions before anything else. Is the clinic authorised by the Turkish Ministry of Health to treat international patients? Which stages of the procedure will a doctor perform personally, and which are delegated? Is everything included in the price written down before you travel? A clinic that answers all three clearly and in writing is one whose low price comes from the structural factors above rather than from cutting corners.
What is the Hair Transplant Turkey Cost Per Graft?
Per-graft rates in Turkey average around $1.15 (€1.00) and run from roughly $0.80 to $2.00, which is about €0.70 to €1.75, or £0.60 to £1.50. The rate is not the same for every case size. Small sessions of around 1,000 grafts sit at the top of that band, because the surgical team, the operating room and the aftercare cost much the same whatever the graft count, and those fixed costs are shared across fewer grafts.
Where a clinic falls inside that band comes down to three things. Technique plays a part, since DHI needs Choi implanter pens and Sapphire FUE relies on sapphire-tipped blades to open the recipient channels, and both add instrument cost. Location matters too, with clinics in upscale Istanbul districts such as Nişantaşı, Levent and Maslak carrying higher rent and staffing overheads. The largest factor is who performs the work. A doctor with a long surgical record and international recognition charges more per graft than one still building a practice, and the gap widens when that doctor carries out the key stages personally rather than delegating them.
The difficulty with per-graft pricing is not the rate itself but what the rate does to the final number. Every additional thousand grafts adds to the bill, so the clinic quoting the graft count is the same party that profits from a higher one. Patients often learn their real total only on the day of surgery, once the count is confirmed.
| Graft Count | Per-Graft Clinic at €1.00 | Smile Hair Clinic |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 grafts | € 2,500 · US$ 2,875 · £ 2,150 · CA$ 3,775 · AU$ 4,200 | Package price, unchanged |
| 3,500 grafts | € 3,500 · US$ 4,025 · £ 3,010 · CA$ 5,285 · AU$ 5,880 | Package price, unchanged |
| 5,000 grafts | € 5,000 · US$ 5,750 · £ 4,300 · CA$ 7,550 · AU$ 8,400 | Package price, unchanged |
Smile Hair Clinic does not publish a cost per graft, because we do not bill that way. Your doctor determines the number your donor area can safely supply during consultation, and that number has no effect on what you pay. The comparison above applies the market average at a flat rate purely to show how the two models diverge as a case gets larger. Converted figures are indicative, at mid-market rates current in September 2026.
Package Pricing vs. Per-Graft Pricing
The two models differ in more than price level, they differ in when the number becomes final. Clinics in the UK, Germany, the United States, Canada and Australia mostly quote per graft, so the figure given at consultation is an estimate that firms up once the count is confirmed. Turkish clinics more often quote a fixed inclusive package agreed before travel. That is why the totals below are only meaningfully comparable at the package level rather than line by line.
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost for a Standard Session |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | € 1,300 – € 4,800 ($1,500 – $5,500) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed all-inclusive package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| United States | Per graft | $ 10,000 – $ 20,000 |
| United Kingdom | Per graft | £ 10,000 – £ 15,000 |
| Germany | Per graft | € 8,000 – € 15,000 |
The difference comes down to operating cost, not medical standard. Clinic rent, staffing and currency exchange are all structurally cheaper in Turkey, and that gap is what shows up in the final price, not a shortcut in the operating room.
The technique name on a package (FUE extraction, Sapphire incision) matters less than who’s performing each stage. Graft survival depends far more on how carefully grafts are handled between extraction and implantation than on which tool did the extracting, which is exactly why the packages above are built around the surgical team, not around technique branding.
How Much Do Different Hair Transplant Techniques Cost in Turkey?
Technique names still get searched a lot, so here is how the wider Turkish market prices each of them. The gap between methods is smaller than most marketing suggests. It mostly reflects the instruments and the extra working time involved rather than a meaningful jump in outcome. Sapphire hair transplant uses a sapphire-tipped blade to open the recipient channels, DHI hair transplant places grafts directly with a Choi implanter pen, and manual FUE hair transplant relies on a hand-held punch for extraction rather than a motorised one.
Two further options sit at the upper end of the range, and the reason is time rather than costlier tools. An unshaven hair transplant leaves the existing hair in place. A Long FUE hair transplant keeps the harvested hairs at full length, so the new hairline can be previewed on the day of surgery. Both call for slower, more careful extraction around hair that has not been cut, so a session with the same graft count runs noticeably longer.
| Technique | Typical Market Cost, Turkey | Who It Tends to Suit |
|---|---|---|
| Manual FUE | $1,500 – $5,000 (€1,300 – €4,350) | Standard cases where the team prefers tactile control over each extraction |
| Sapphire FUE | $1,700 – $5,500 (€1,500 – €4,800) | Wider areas such as the mid-scalp and crown, where fine channels allow dense placement |
| DHI | $1,900 – $6,000 (€1,650 – €5,200) | Hairline work and smaller zones where angle and direction need close control |
| Hybrid (Sapphire FUE + DHI) | $2,200 – $6,500 (€1,900 – €5,650) | Larger cases that combine broad coverage with a detailed hairline |
| Unshaven / Long FUE | $2,500 – $7,000 (€2,150 – €6,100) | Patients returning to work quickly, usually with limited hair loss |
| FUT (strip method) | $1,500 – $3,500 (€1,300 – €3,050) | Rarely chosen today, as it leaves a linear scar across the donor area |
| Smile Hair Clinic (any technique) | € 2,390 – € 5,790, fixed by package tier | Technique matched to your case at consultation |
Whichever pricing model a clinic uses, the technique itself should be a clinical choice made at consultation rather than an upgrade picked from a price list. The same applies to unshaven and Long FUE sessions. Whether one of them suits you is a decision your doctor makes after examining your donor area and the extent of your hair loss. They tend to work best for localised thinning, such as a hairline or crown, because extensive hair loss needs more grafts than can be harvested without shaving.
FUT has virtually disappeared from hair transplant clinics in Turkey. Follicular unit extraction removes grafts one by one and leaves no linear scar across the back of the head, which is why Turkish clinics moved to it almost entirely. FUT appears in the table above only because patients comparing prices across countries still come across it.
How Does Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey Compare With the USA, UK, Canada and 11 Other Destinations?

The table above covers the three markets patients compare most, but it’s worth seeing where Turkey sits against the full range of medical tourism destinations too. The overview below puts every destination side by side, and the tabs underneath explain what sits behind each figure.
| Destination | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost | How It Compares With Turkey | Typical Saving in Turkey |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) | Baseline | – |
| USA | Per graft | US$ 10,000 – US$ 20,000 | Turkey significantly better value | 65% – 83% |
| UK | Per graft | £10,000 – £15,000 | Turkey significantly better value | 74% – 83% |
| Germany | Per graft | € 8,000 – € 15,000 | Turkey significantly better value | 62% – 80% |
| France | Mostly per graft | € 3,500 – € 10,000 | Turkey meaningfully better value | Up to 70% |
| Canada | Per graft | CA$ 12,500 – CA$ 24,500 | Turkey significantly better value | 63% – 81% |
| Mexico | Per graft or partial package | $2,500 – $6,000 (€2,150 – €5,150) | Comparable price, shorter flight from North America | Up to 42% |
| Australia | Per graft | AU$ 12,000 – AU$ 30,000 | Turkey significantly better value | 57% – 83% |
| Dubai (UAE) | Per graft, some fixed packages | $6,000 – $11,000 | Turkey better value | 42% – 68% |
| India | Per graft | $3,000 – $6,000 | Comparable price, different trade-offs | Up to 42% |
| Thailand | Per graft | $3,000 – $6,000 | Comparable price, different trade-offs | Up to 42% |
| South Korea | Mostly per graft | $3,900 – $9,500 (€3,350 – €8,150) | Turkey better value | Up to 63% |
| Eastern Europe (Poland & Hungary) | Mostly per graft | € 3,000 – € 7,500 | Comparable price range | Up to 59% |
| Spain | Per graft | € 4,500 – € 10,000 | Turkey meaningfully better value | 32% – 70% |
| Italy | Per graft | € 5,500 – € 10,000 | Turkey meaningfully better value | 45% – 70% |
Savings compare the midpoint of Turkey’s typical package range with the lower and upper end of each destination’s range, before flights. Where a destination’s lower end sits close to Turkey’s own prices, only the upper figure is shown. Converted figures use the same mid-market rates as the rest of this page.
Pick a country below.
Turkey vs. USA
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| USA | Per graft | US$ 10,000 – US$ 20,000 |
US clinics operate under some of the strictest facility and insurance regulations in the world, and that regulatory overhead shows up directly in the per-graft rate. The surgical technique itself, FUE or DHI, is the same technique used in Turkey, what changes is the cost base behind it and the pricing model, per graft rather than a fixed package.
Turkey vs. UK
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (£1,100 – £4,150) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| UK | Per graft | £10,000 – £15,000 |
UK private clinics quote per graft, so the total scales directly with how much coverage a patient needs, and clinic rent and staffing costs in London or Manchester are simply higher than in Istanbul. Patients who want zero travel and same-day follow-up access understandably weight that convenience against the price gap.
Turkey vs. Germany
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Germany | Per graft | € 8,000 – € 15,000 |
Germany’s healthcare system is heavily regulated and highly regarded, and hair transplants there are billed per graft like most of Western Europe. For patients who want to stay within the EU and avoid air travel altogether, Germany is a genuine option, just at a materially higher price point than Turkey for the same graft count. You can also check our pricing page prepared for our German patients.
Turkey vs. France
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| France | Mostly per graft | € 3,500 – € 10,000 |
French clinics generally quote per graft, and anaesthesia, medication and aftercare are often billed separately, so the first quote is rarely the final figure. Established clinics in Paris can go well beyond this range for larger sessions. The flight from Paris to Istanbul takes around three and a half hours, which is why many French patients weigh a short trip against a substantially lower all-inclusive price. You can also check our pricing page prepared for our French patients.
Turkey vs. Canada
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Canada | Per graft | CA$ 12,500 – CA$ 24,500 |
Canadian pricing varies enormously by province and city, Toronto and Montreal tend to run lower than Calgary or Vancouver, and it’s billed per graft everywhere. For North American patients, Canada removes the international flight, but the per-graft model means a large session still adds up quickly.
Turkey vs. Mexico
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Mexico | Per graft or partial package | $2,500 – $6,000 (€2,150 – €5,150) |
Mexico is the closest alternative for patients in the United States and Canada, with a flight of a few hours to Tijuana, Cancún or Mexico City rather than a long-haul trip to Istanbul. Prices sit in a similar band to Turkey, but pricing is far less standardised. Some clinics quote per graft, others sell partial packages, and hotel nights are not always part of the price, so two quotes need comparing line by line before the headline numbers mean anything. Clinic standards also vary widely, particularly in Tijuana, which makes checking the clinic’s COFEPRIS licence and the surgeon’s ISHRS membership the most important step before booking.
Turkey vs. Australia
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Australia | Per graft | AU$ 12,000 – AU$ 30,000 |
Australia has one of the highest per-graft rates of any market, driven by a small pool of practising hair restoration doctors and high clinical operating costs. Sydney and Melbourne sit at the top of that range. The flight to Istanbul is long, so most Australian patients build a longer stay around the procedure, and even with that added travel the total usually lands well below a comparable session at home.
Turkey vs. Dubai (UAE)
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Dubai (UAE) | Per graft, some fixed packages | $6,000 – $11,000 |
Dubai has built a genuinely premium, luxury-positioned hair transplant market, and the pricing reflects that positioning as much as it reflects graft count. It’s a shorter flight for patients across the Gulf and South Asia than Istanbul is, which is the real trade-off against the higher price.
Turkey vs. India
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| India | Per graft | $3,000 – $6,000 |
India sits close to Turkey on price, and offers the advantage of English as the primary medical language for many international patients. The market is also far more fragmented, hundreds of clinics of widely varying size and standard, compared to a smaller number of very high-volume specialist clinics in Istanbul, so clinic selection matters even more in India than it does in Turkey.
Turkey vs. Thailand
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Thailand | Per graft | $3,000 – $6,000 |
Thailand is a natural fit for patients already traveling through Southeast Asia, and Bangkok has well-regarded international hospitals. Overall hair transplant volume is lower there than in Istanbul, which is Turkey’s largest structural advantage, specialist teams doing thousands of procedures a year build a different kind of experience than teams doing dozens.
Turkey vs. South Korea
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| South Korea | Mostly per graft | $3,900 – $9,500 (€3,350 – €8,150) |
South Korea, and Seoul’s Gangnam district in particular, has built a reputation for meticulous hairline design, with many clinics specialising in manual and no-shave FUE. Most clinics bill per graft, and the attention to detail shows in session length, with a 3,000-graft procedure often taking six to eight hours. That positions Korea as a premium destination rather than a budget one. For patients in East Asia the shorter flight is a genuine advantage, while patients from Europe or North America usually find the same techniques in Istanbul at a noticeably lower price.
Turkey vs. Eastern Europe (Poland & Hungary)
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Poland & Hungary | Mostly per graft | € 3,000 – € 7,500 |
Poland and Hungary appeal mainly to UK and Western European patients who want a shorter flight and to stay within the EU regulatory framework. Pricing sits close to Turkey’s, so the deciding factor for most patients is travel time and clinic reputation rather than cost.
Turkey vs. Spain
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Spain | Per graft | € 4,500 – € 10,000 |
Spain sits above Eastern Europe and below the UK or Germany, the appeal is staying within Western Europe without flying further east. For patients not specifically drawn to Istanbul, this is often the middle-ground option they consider first. You can also check our pricing page prepared for our Spanish patients.
Turkey vs. Italy
| Country | Typical Model | Approx. Total Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey (Typical Market) | Fixed inclusive package | $1,500 – $5,500 (€1,300 – €4,800) |
| Smile Hair Clinic | Fixed package | € 2,390 – € 5,790 |
| Italy | Per graft | € 5,500 – € 10,000 |
Italy runs slightly above Spain on average, closer to the lower end of UK or German pricing depending on the clinic. As with Spain, the trade-off patients weigh is staying inside Western Europe versus the flight to Istanbul. You can also check our pricing page prepared for our Italian patients.
Which Destination Gives the Best Value for a Hair Transplant?
For patients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and most of Western Europe, Turkey remains the lowest-cost option by a wide margin, and the gap holds even after flights are added. The destinations that come closest on price are Mexico, India, Thailand and Eastern Europe, and with those the decision turns less on the headline figure than on travel time, how standardised the pricing is and how many procedures the surgical teams perform each year. South Korea and Dubai sit in a premium tier of their own, where patients pay more for positioning, proximity or a particular clinical style. Once the price question is settled, the comparison that matters most is no longer between countries but between clinics, and it comes down to who performs each stage of the procedure and whether the clinic holds independent accreditation.
How Do Hair Transplant Prices in Turkey Differ by City and Over Time?
Prices within Turkey move less than prices between countries, but the city and the year still make a difference. Pick a tab below.
Do Hair Transplant Prices in Turkey Vary by City?
Yes, though less than the country-to-country gap above. Istanbul carries the highest concentration of experienced surgical teams and internationally accredited clinics, which shows up as a modest premium over smaller hubs.
| City | Typical Market Range | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Istanbul | $1,500 – $5,500 (€ 1,300 – € 4,800) | Turkey’s main hub, the largest concentration of named doctors, international patient volume and accredited facilities |
| Antalya | $1,500 – $5,000 (€ 1,300 – € 4,350) | Lower overhead, often bundled with resort-style accommodation |
| Izmir | $1,500 – $4,500 (€ 1,300 – € 3,900) | Similar cost base to Antalya |
| Ankara | $1,500 – $4,500 (€ 1,300 – € 3,900) | Smaller international patient market, lower clinic overhead |
Smile Hair Clinic operates in Istanbul, which is why our packages sit toward the accredited, doctor-led end of the market rather than the cheapest end. The city premium reflects surgical team experience and accreditation overhead, not marketing.
Hair Transplant Turkey Cost Trends Over Time, 2018 to Present
There’s no official year-by-year price index kept by any government body, so the table below places Turkey’s published package range alongside indicative global levels. The gap with the USA, UK, Canada and Australia has widened rather than closed.
| Year | Turkey (Typical Range) | Turkey, Avg. Cost Per Graft | Global Average, Mostly US & Europe |

| 2022 | € 1,450 – € 4,000 (~$1,650 – $4,350), ~$2,000 avg (market $2B ÷ ~1M international patients) | $0.90 – $1.80 | No updated global census that year |
| 2023 | € 1,450 – € 4,000 (~$1,650 – $4,350) | $1.00 – $2.00 | No updated global census that year |
| 2024 | € 1,450 – € 4,500 (~$1,650 – $5,000) | $1.00 – $2.00 | No updated global census that year |
| 2025 | € 1,450 – € 4,800 (~$1,650 – $5,500) | $0.90 – $2.00 | Global market est. $8.8–9.1B surgical-only (multiple market research firms) |
| 2026 | € 1,300 – € 4,800 (~$1,500 – $5,500) | $0.80 – $2.00 | Global market est. $8.8–9.1B surgical-only (multiple market research firms) |
The per-graft column reflects the wider Turkish market, not Smile Hair Clinic. Turkey’s typical range has moved gradually rather than sharply while staying a fraction of the global average throughout, as the market shifts away from the cheapest tier toward clinics with named doctors and real accreditation.

What Actually Drives Graft Survival?
Scalp donor grafts show a survival rate around 89% at one year in a controlled clinical comparison published in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery (Gupta et al., 2019), and how long a graft sits outside the body before implantation is one of the biggest factors behind that number. That’s a team-discipline question more than a technology question, it comes down to how many hands are working, how fast the team moves and how the grafts are stored during the session, not which brand of tool is used.
How Many Grafts Do You Actually Need?
This is where per-graft clinics create pressure, more grafts always means a bigger bill, so there’s a built-in incentive to round up. With a fixed package, the incentive disappears. Your doctor determines the number your donor area can safely supply, and that’s what gets planned for.
Norwood stages and typical graft ranges for each pattern
| Norwood Stage | Description | Typical Range |
|---|---|---|
| Norwood Type 1 | No recession, the hairline is still in its natural position | Typically not a transplant stage |
| Norwood Type 2 | Minimal recession at the temples, hairline still intact overall | 1,000–2,500 grafts |
| Norwood Type 3 | Significant temple recession, the earliest stage most patients act on | 1,500–3,000 grafts |
| Norwood Type 4 | Front and vertex thinning, both areas affected but still separated by a band of hair | 3,000–4,500 grafts |
| Norwood Type 5 (A/V) | Large bald areas across the front and vertex, the band between them narrows further | 4,000–6,000 grafts |
| Norwood Type 6 | No hair at the top, front and crown loss largely connected | 5,000–7,000 grafts, usually across more than one session |
| Norwood Type 7 | Severe hair loss, only a thin donor band remains | 6,000–9,000+ grafts, often not achievable from the available donor area |
These are approximate ranges, not promises. Final planning depends on donor capacity and doctor evaluation, and at the highest Norwood stages the scalp donor area often cannot supply the full number listed. Where that happens, a body hair transplant can extend the available supply by drawing grafts from the beard or chest, though scalp donor hair remains the first choice for the hairline. Donor hair quality varies person to person, and a consultation with photo analysis is the only way to get an honest figure.
How Much Does a Hair Transplant in Turkey Cost by Graft Count?
Pick a graft count below to see the Turkish market range next to per-graft pricing in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.
1,000 Grafts Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey
In Turkey, a 1,000-graft hair transplant costs between $1,500 and $2,000 (€1,300 – €1,750) at current market rates. A session of this size usually covers early hair loss, such as a Norwood Type 2 pattern or temple recession, where the hairline is still largely intact. It is the smallest full session Smile Hair Clinic typically plans, and even here the price follows the package tier rather than a count of grafts.
| Region | Avg. Cost Per Graft | Approx. Total, 1,000 Grafts |
|---|---|---|
| Smile Hair Clinic | All-inclusive package, not billed per graft | |
| Turkey (Market Average) | $1.50 – $2.00 (€1.30 – €1.75) | $1,500 – $2,000 (€1,300 – €1,750) |
| USA | US$ 4.00 – US$ 7.00 | $ 4,000 – $ 7,000 |
| UK | £2.40 – £4.00 | £2,400 – £4,000 |
| Canada | CA$ 5.50 – CA$ 9.50 | CA$ 5,500 – CA$ 9,500 |
| Australia | AU$ 5.00 – AU$ 9.00 | AU$ 5,000 – AU$ 9,000 |
| Europe | € 2.30 – € 4.10 | € 2,300 – € 4,100 |
2,000 Grafts Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey
In Turkey, a 2,000-graft hair transplant costs between $2,000 and $3,000 (€1,750 – €2,600) at current market rates. This graft count typically addresses a Norwood Type 3 pattern, a clearly receding hairline that sometimes comes with early thinning at the crown. It is one of the most common graft counts at Smile Hair Clinic, and like every figure on this page it sits inside a fixed package price rather than being billed per graft.
| Region | Avg. Cost Per Graft | Approx. Total, 2,000 Grafts |
|---|---|---|
| Smile Hair Clinic | All-inclusive package, not billed per graft | |
| Turkey (Market Average) | $1.00 – $1.50 (€0.87 – €1.30) | $2,000 – $3,000 (€1,750 – €2,600) |
| USA | US$ 4.00 – US$ 7.00 | $ 8,000 – $ 14,000 |
| UK | £2.40 – £4.00 | £4,800 – £8,000 |
| Canada | CA$ 5.50 – CA$ 9.50 | CA$ 11,000 – CA$ 19,000 |
| Australia | AU$ 5.00 – AU$ 9.00 | AU$ 10,000 – AU$ 18,000 |
| Europe | € 2.30 – € 4.10 | € 4,600 – € 8,200 |
3,000 Grafts Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey
In Turkey, a 3,000-graft hair transplant costs between $2,700 and $4,000 (€2,350 – €3,500) at current market rates. A session of this size usually covers a Norwood Type 3 to Norwood Type 4 pattern, a receding hairline together with the start of thinning at the crown. Smile Hair Clinic does not charge per graft, so this number is simply part of a fixed package matched to your donor capacity.
| Region | Avg. Cost Per Graft | Approx. Total, 3,000 Grafts |
|---|---|---|
| Smile Hair Clinic | All-inclusive package, not billed per graft | |
| Turkey (Market Average) | $0.90 – $1.33 (€0.78 – €1.17) | $2,700 – $4,000 (€2,350 – €3,500) |
| USA | US$ 4.00 – US$ 7.00 | $ 12,000 – $ 21,000 |
| UK | £2.40 – £4.00 | £7,200 – £12,000 |
| Canada | CA$ 5.50 – CA$ 9.50 | CA$ 16,500 – CA$ 28,500 |
| Australia | AU$ 5.00 – AU$ 9.00 | AU$ 15,000 – AU$ 27,000 |
| Europe | € 2.30 – € 4.10 | € 6,900 – € 12,300 |
4,000 Grafts Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey
In Turkey, a 4,000-graft hair transplant costs between $3,400 and $5,000 (€2,950 – €4,350) at current market rates. This graft count typically applies to Norwood Type 4 and Norwood Type 5 cases, where the hairline and a larger crown area need covering in the same session. As with every graft count on this page, Smile Hair Clinic builds the number into a fixed package price.
| Region | Avg. Cost Per Graft | Approx. Total, 4,000 Grafts |
|---|---|---|
| Smile Hair Clinic | All-inclusive package, not billed per graft | |
| Turkey (Market Average) | $0.85 – $1.25 (€0.74 – €1.09) | $3,400 – $5,000 (€2,950 – €4,350) |
| USA | US$ 4.00 – US$ 7.00 | $ 16,000 – $ 28,000 |
| UK | £2.40 – £4.00 | £9,600 – £16,000 |
| Canada | CA$ 5.50 – CA$ 9.50 | CA$ 22,000 – CA$ 38,000 |
| Australia | AU$ 5.00 – AU$ 9.00 | AU$ 20,000 – AU$ 36,000 |
| Europe | € 2.30 – € 4.10 | € 9,200 – € 16,400 |
5,000 Grafts Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey
In Turkey, a 5,000-graft hair transplant costs between $4,000 and $5,500 (€3,500 – €4,800) at current market rates. Sessions of this size correspond to Norwood Type 5 or Norwood Type 6 patterns with extensive coverage, where donor capacity and session length both become real limits, and procedures often last eight hours or more. Smile Hair Clinic keeps the same fixed package pricing at this scale, so no per-graft fee is added as the count rises.
| Region | Avg. Cost Per Graft | Approx. Total, 5,000 Grafts |
|---|---|---|
| Smile Hair Clinic | All-inclusive package, not billed per graft | |
| Turkey (Market Average) | $0.80 – $1.10 (€0.70 – €0.96) | $4,000 – $5,500 (€3,500 – €4,800) |
| USA | US$ 4.00 – US$ 7.00 | $ 20,000 – $ 35,000 |
| UK | £2.40 – £4.00 | £12,000 – £20,000 |
| Canada | CA$ 5.50 – CA$ 9.50 | CA$ 27,500 – CA$ 47,500 |
| Australia | AU$ 5.00 – AU$ 9.00 | AU$ 25,000 – AU$ 45,000 |
| Europe | € 2.30 – € 4.10 | € 11,500 – € 20,500 |
In Turkey the per-graft rate falls as sessions get larger, while per-graft clinics elsewhere keep a flat rate, so only the multiplication changes as the count goes up. Smile Hair Clinic sits outside that math entirely. Whether your donor area supports 1,000 or 5,000 grafts, that number is set during consultation and built into whichever of the three fixed packages fits your case, and it is never billed separately by technique or graft count.
How to Choose a Hair Transplant Clinic in Turkey?
Price is the easiest thing to compare and the least reliable way to choose. A handful of concrete checks matter more than the number on the quote.
| What to Check | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Clinic registered with the Turkish Ministry of Health | This is the baseline legal requirement for operating a surgical facility, ask for it directly if it isn’t stated on the site. |
| Independent third-party accreditation | Look for accreditation from a recognised external body rather than a badge the clinic awarded itself. Smile Hair Clinic holds TEMOS A-Rating accreditation, which is independently audited rather than self-issued. |
| Named doctor performing the medical stages | Ask specifically who performs consultation, extraction and incision, and whether that’s the same person shown in the clinic’s marketing. |
| Doctor’s professional membership | Membership in a body like the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) is a further signal of standing within the field, though it isn’t the only valid credential. |
| Transparent, fixed pricing | A clinic willing to commit to a price before you arrive, in writing, is behaving differently from one that leaves the final number open until you land. |
| Aftercare that extends past the flight home | Ask what happens if a problem shows up three months later, not just what’s offered in the first 48 hours. |
What Sits Outside the Package Price?
A fixed package covers the procedure and everything around the trip itself, but a few costs are genuinely outside anyone’s package, anywhere in Turkey.
| Cost | Typical Range |
|---|---|
| Travel Cost / Flight Tickets | Not included in any package, regardless of clinic or tier |
| Travel insurance | Optional but recommended for any surgical travel abroad |
| Extended hotel stay beyond the included nights | Only relevant if you choose to extend your trip |
| Second Session (at least 1 year later) | Only relevant for patients with progressive hair loss who need touch-up density down the line |
Anything beyond this that a clinic tries to add once you’ve arrived is the sign to walk away, not negotiate.
Is Travelling to Turkey Still Worth It Once Flights Are Added?
A package price only tells half the story when you are comparing it with a clinic near home. The flight, the food and the days away all belong in the calculation, and the fair way to judge a hair transplant in Turkey is to add them up and set the total against what the same session would cost where you live. The examples below use a 3,000-graft session, the size most patients need for a receding hairline with early crown thinning.
What Does the Whole Trip Cost Compared With Home?
| Cost Item | Patient Flying From the US | Patient Flying From the UK |
|---|---|---|
| Hair transplant at home, 3,000 grafts | $12,000 – $21,000 | £7,200 – £12,000 |
| All-inclusive package in Turkey, 3,000 grafts | $2,700 – $4,000 | £2,000 – £3,000 |
| Return flight to Istanbul | $649 – $1,207 | £121 – £280 |
| Food and personal spending, 3 to 4 days | $50 – $175 | £40 – £135 |
| Total cost of the trip | $3,400 – $5,380 | £2,160 – £3,415 |
| Saving compared with home | $6,620 – $17,600 | £3,785 – £9,840 |
The lower saving in each column is the least favourable case, the most expensive Turkish package with a peak-season flight set against the cheapest clinic at home. Even then, a US patient keeps more than $6,000. The same holds from further away, since a Canadian or Australian patient still spends well under the price of a comparable session at home, even with the longest flights of any major market.
What Other Travel Costs Should You Budget For?
All-inclusive packages in Turkey usually cover the procedure, hotel nights around the surgery, airport and clinic transfers, medication and aftercare. What sits outside them depends mostly on where you fly from and how long you choose to stay.
| Cost | Typical Range | When It Applies |
|---|---|---|
| Return flight | $649 – $1,207 from New York, CA$1,060 – CA$1,560 from Toronto, £121 – £280 from London, AU$1,524 – AU$2,259 from Australia | Always, and it varies more with the season than with the airline |
| Extra hotel nights | Around €98 a night at a 4-star hotel and €158 at a 5-star hotel | Only if you stay beyond the nights included in your package |
| A companion’s own room | The same nightly rates as above | Only if your companion does not share your room, so check what your package allows |
| Food and drink | €15 – €40 a day | Local restaurants sit at the lower end, tourist-area restaurants at the top |
| Travel insurance | Depends on your country and level of cover | Worth arranging before you book the flight |
| Sightseeing | Your own choice | Best kept light in the first days after surgery |
Summer and December are the most expensive months to fly from most markets, while February, March and November usually bring the lowest fares. Hotel rates in Istanbul follow a similar pattern and are generally lowest in November.
How Much Should You Budget in Total?
For a US patient planning a 3,000-graft session, a realistic total for the whole trip is about $3,400 to $5,380, covering the package, the flight and spending in Istanbul. Adding a buffer of 10 to 15 percent for a changed flight, an extra night or unexpected costs brings that to roughly $3,750 to $6,200. For a UK patient, the same calculation gives about £2,160 to £3,415 before the buffer and £2,400 to £3,930 with it. The package is always the largest single item, and the flight is the part you control most through the timing of your trip.
When Does Travelling for the Procedure Make Financial Sense?
Travelling makes financial sense when the saving still looks substantial after every travel cost has been added, and for patients from the US, the UK, Canada and Australia the figures above show that it usually does. Plan for three to four days in Istanbul plus travel time, since the first wash and the early check of the transplanted area take place before you fly home. Most aftercare after the first days happens through online check-ins with the clinic, so comfort with remote follow-up is worth weighing alongside the price difference.
Flight and hotel figures are monthly averages from flight and hotel comparison sites in September 2026, and food costs reflect 2026 restaurant prices in Istanbul.
How Do You Pay for a Hair Transplant in Turkey?
Most clinics in Turkey follow the same basic order, and very little is paid before you travel. Once your package and price are agreed in writing, the clinic asks for a deposit, usually paid online by card. The deposit locks the agreed price and is deducted from the total rather than added to it. After you book your flights and send the tickets, the clinic reserves your surgery date, and the remaining balance is paid at the clinic when you arrive.
| Stage | What Usually Happens | What to Check |
|---|---|---|
| Written quote | The package contents and price are confirmed in writing | That the quote lists everything included |
| Deposit | Paid online, locks your price and is deducted from the total | The amount, and whether a card fee applies |
| Flights and reservation | You send your flight tickets, and the clinic reserves your date and transfers | That the surgery date is confirmed in writing |
| Balance | Paid at the clinic when you arrive | Which currencies are accepted and whether card payments carry a surcharge |
Which Payment Methods Do Clinics in Turkey Accept?
Most clinics in Turkey accept several payment methods, but each tends to be used at a different stage of booking. The deposit is usually paid remotely before you travel, while the balance is settled in person at the clinic.
| Method | Typically Used For | What to Check |
|---|---|---|
| Cash in euros, US dollars or pounds | The balance at the clinic | Which currencies the clinic accepts, and your bank’s withdrawal limits if you plan to take cash out in Istanbul |
| Credit or debit card | The deposit, and the balance at many clinics | Whether a surcharge applies to the balance, and that the card is registered in your own name |
| Online payment link | The deposit before you travel | That the link comes directly from the clinic’s official contact channel |
| Bank transfer | The deposit, and occasionally the full balance | Transfer fees and processing time, and that the account details are confirmed directly with the clinic |
| Money transfer services such as Wise | The deposit at some clinics | Whether the clinic accepts them before you send anything |
If you plan to carry a large amount of cash, check the rules in your own country first. The EU and the UK, for example, require travellers to declare cash of €10,000 or £10,000 or more when leaving, so larger balances are often easier to settle partly by card or transfer.
Is It Better to Pay the Balance in Cash or by Card?
Cash is the most common way to settle the balance at Turkish clinics, and bringing it is often the simplest option. Card payments are widely accepted, but some clinics add a surcharge when the balance is paid by card on arrival, so ask in advance whether one applies and how large it is. Clinics generally require any card to be registered in the patient’s own name, and if you plan to withdraw cash in Istanbul, check your bank’s daily withdrawal limit and foreign transaction fees before you travel.
Can You Spread the Cost Over Several Months?
Instalment options differ between clinics, and many patients arrange financing at home instead, through a medical lender or a personal loan. Our guide to hair transplant financing options compares how those routes work, what they typically cost and what to check before signing.
Questions Worth Asking Before You Book
| Watch For | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Unlimited graft promises | Donor supply is biologically limited. A clinic promising any number you want regardless of your donor area is either overharvesting or not being straight with you. |
| No named doctor | If a clinic won’t tell you who performs the extraction, incision and implantation stages, ask directly before booking. |
| Price that changes after arrival | A genuine fixed package doesn’t move once you land. If the quote increases once you’re in the country, that’s a sign the initial number was a hook. |
| No accreditation on record | Ask whether the clinic holds independent accreditation, and check that it’s verifiable rather than a badge on the homepage. |
| Reviews concentrated in one short window | A sudden spike of five-star reviews in a narrow timeframe is a more common red flag than a slow, steady pattern over years. |
Frequently Asked Questions About Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey
Is hair transplant pricing in Turkey per graft or a fixed package?
Most reputable Turkish clinics, including Smile Hair Clinic, work on fixed all-inclusive packages rather than per-graft billing. The number of grafts is determined by your donor area during consultation, and the package price doesn’t change afterward.
Do you have to pay the full price before travelling to Turkey?
Usually not. Most clinics ask only for a deposit in advance to lock your price, and it is deducted from the total. The remaining balance is paid at the clinic when you arrive.
Can you pay for a hair transplant in Turkey by credit card?
Yes, most clinics accept cards, but some add a surcharge when the balance is paid by card at the clinic. Ask about this before you travel, and bring cash if a surcharge applies.
When is the surgery date confirmed?
At most clinics, the price is locked when the deposit is paid and the surgery date is reserved once you send your flight tickets, so the date matches your actual travel plans.
Why is a hair transplant cheaper in Turkey than in the UK or US?
The price gap reflects lower operating costs, not lower medical standards. Clinic rent, staffing and currency exchange rates are all structurally lower in Turkey, and high patient volume lets experienced surgical teams operate efficiently.
Does a lower price mean lower quality?
Absolutely not. Price differences between countries mostly track cost of living and currency, not surgical skill. What matters more is who performs your procedure, how experienced the team is and whether the clinic is independently accredited.
What factors change the price within Turkey itself?
Whether the extraction and incision stages are performed by the lead doctor or a supervised assistant, the technique used, and the hotel tier included in the package are the main variables. Graft count is set by your donor supply rather than by the package tier.
Does the package price include aftercare?
